• SURFEST 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 Surfest is Australia's largest surfing festival and Newcastle's only international sporting event. The festival attracts over 750 competitors from over ten countries and over 15,000 spectators during the 12 day festival, a part the ASP World Tour.

• SUNDAE FUNDAZE Sundae Fundaze has been entertaining Newcastle punters at the Clarendon Hotel since the summer of 2005 to mark the beginning of spring, hosting big wigs behind the decks like Kim from the Presets, the Bang Gang as well as international guests like Fake Blood.
